Adult Education

Our goal is to teach the word of God to every age level, form newborns to the oldest members of the congregation. Will seek to foster spiritual growth through Bible knowledge and life application while recognizing the uniqueness, dignity, and potential of each individual so that God’s family here can reach out to the community with the love and servant-hood of Jesus Christ.

This ministry is especially designed for our military personnel. We are very thankful to all of the men and women who serve our country in uniform and we offer special assistance to them through this deacon lead program

Audio/Visual

Volunteers, under the direction of a deacon, set up, operate, and maintain all the audio-visual systems. This includes sound systems in the main auditorium and fellowship hall; the overhead, slide and film projectors; video/VCR-TV arrangements and audio-video tape recording and duplicating equipment for worship assemblies, weddings and special events.

Baby /Bridal Showers

This ministry involves planning and coordinating the baby and wedding showers for Gateway members. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attended these showers which are held periodically on Sunday evenings

Bold Bible Kids

Sunday morning worship assemblies for children ages three years through third grade. Bible stories are told in a variety of creative ways. Children have an opportunity to visit different stations each week featuring experiments, cooking, crafts and much more. Bible stories will be presented through puppet skits and drama.

Building and Grounds

Maintains the physical appearance of the buildings and grounds. This  ministry is concerned with the janitorial, lighting and HVAC, plumbing, safety and security, and utilities. Outside it includes cleanup, mowing, and landscaping.

Bulletin Boards

Provides extra publicity by providing attractive bulletin boards in the main foyer of both buildings for special events such as retreats, seminars, classes, community, outreach, etc.

Counseling and Family Life 

Individual, Marital, and family counseling is available to Gateway members at no charge. Classes and seminars are also promoted by this ministry to build strong families and individuals.

Children’s Educational Ministry seeks to supplement the family’s attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that will, in God’s timing, lead a child to know, love, follow and serve Jesus Christ.

Gateway has several members who are teachers, board members or administrators at ESCAMBIA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. This ministry encourages a broad participation in support of this school through fund-raisers like the fish fries, the annual home tour, annual dinner/auction, ministers who lead Chapel programs, etc.

Classes are conducted Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM during the school year for ages 12 months to five years. Bible centered instruction provides activities in such areas as number concepts, arts and crafts, science, and family life. Classes are limited in size in order to provide the best atmosphere for learning.
