Gateway aims to Love God and Others to bring them into a growing relationship with Jesus.

To be a warm, joyful, diverse community that loves Jesus, loves and accepts one another and is dedicated to reaching out to bring others to Christ.

• We believe that women and men of all races and backgrounds bear the image of God, and are to be treated with dignity, respect and Christian love.  (Acts 10:34-35, Galatians 6:10)
• We believe that God wants His Church to serve, teach, share with and love all people.  We are to be His 'salt and light' to a lost world.  (Matthew 5:13-16; Ephesians 5:8; Colossians 4:6)
• We believe that God places expectations on His beloved children whether single or married to promote the characteristics of Christian living.  (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 15:33; Ephesians 4:1-3)
• We believe there is only one true and living God, who walked among us as Jesus His son, and who gave each believer the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit who is present now in us.  (John 7:39; John 14:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 15:8)
• We believe that Jesus lived, died, and rose again on the third day and is the 'chief cornerstone' of His church.  (Ephesians 2:19-22; John 11:25-26; Romans 6:5-6)
• We believe that everyone 'born again of the water and the Spirit' has been 'baptized by one Spirit into one body' and added to that body of believers by God 'just as He wanted them to be'.  (John 3:5; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Mark 16:15-16; 1 Corinthians 12:18)
• We believe that the Bible is the inspired/God-breathed message to mankind, and is able to make one 'wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus'.  (2 Timothy 3:14-16; Matthew 4:4; John 17:17)
• We believe Christ founded the church over which He is head.  (Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18)
• We believe in meeting together as often as we can to give praise to God, but as an entire church we gather for worship on the first day of every week.  (Matthew 18:20; Acts 20:7)
• We believe that as the bride of Christ and by God's design we are to model sexual purity and holiness, whether single or married, by holding to our promises to God and our spouses.  (1 Corinthians 6:18-20; Galatians 5:19-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; Hebrews 13:4)
• We are all imperfect, living in a fallen world that whispers and shouts for us to seek our own ways and desires regarding money, power, pride and sex.  The grace and love of Christ calls us to obedience in His ways - humility, meekness, strength through weakness and generosity.  (John 14:15-21; Ephesians 4:17-19; Ephesians 5:1-5; 2 Timothy 2:22)
• We believe that it is God's desire that we 'love Him', 'love one another' and 'show love to all humanity as Christ loved us'.  It is 'through our love that people will know that we are Jesus' disciples'!  (Deuteronomy 6:4; Leviticus 19:18; John 13:34-35)
• We believe that God designed marriage to be a specific union to be shared between a man and a woman, and anything beyond that was not included in His design.  (Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
• As children of God, we are called to a life of worship, not only on Sundays, but every day that we live, as an expression of our love and devotion to Him through song, prayer, giving, communion and service to others.  (Romans 12:1; Romans 12:12-13; Ephesians 5:19-20; John 4:23-24)

EXPECT TO BE GREETED – A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have, just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled in and feel at home.

EXPECT A LAID BACK ATMOSPHERE – A casual atmosphere where friendships can form and relationships deepen. A place that is serious about the kind of joy that comes from real connections with God and others.

EXPECT TO MATTER – Among our goals we ask our membership to make people feel welcomed.  We know that occasionally people can be overlooked, but we try very hard to make sure our guests know they are valued.

EXPECT TO WORSHIP – We love to worship and sing praises to our God.  Gateway in many ways is very different from mainstream Churches of Christ.  We have a blend of those who worship expressively to those who are less expressive.  We enjoy the diversity and encourage you to worship alongside us.

EXPECT HONEST TEACHINGS – The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. At Gateway we seek to explore, understand and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level in a spirit of love. You will find a growing variety of resources to help you grow in wisdom and truth.
