The Outreach/Missions Ministry focuses on both Foreign missions and local Support missions, both designed to fulfill the Great Commission, “...go and make disciples of all nations...“ (Matt 28:19-20).
Our local Support missions include Escambia Christian School at West Moreno Street here in Pensacola and the Hemley Road Church of Christ, which serves the economically depressed fishing village of Bayou LaBatre, AL. Gateway is also involved with support of the Mount Dora Children’s Home (Mount Dora, FL) and the Escambia Westgate School which is a public school serving exclusively intellectually and developmentally disabled (IDD) students of the community.
We welcome all who are interested in supporting any of these Great Commission opportunities to join us as either Missions Committee members or special team members.

Guyana
There are two missionaries in Guyana we have sponsored for over 20 years. In the cities of Georgetown and Mabaruma, our indigenous preachers HM Latchmenarine and his son Joe do incredible work teaching the gospel to their communities. HM preaches at several village churches and conducts a preacher training program. Joe works in the Northwest District and its government seat, Mabaruma.
Lithuania
Gateway has been actively sponsoring ministers in Lithuania for almost 20 years. The preacher at the Vilnius Church of Christ located in Vilnius, Lithuania is indigenous to Lithuania and has worked with that church since 2003. A premiere annual event we send people from Gateway to each summer is the Ruta Christian Camp that works to teach the gospel to Lithuanian children. We dearly love our brothers and sisters in Vilnius and pray for them continually to bring others to a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
