In the finale of the Untangle Series three of our Gateway members give their interpretation of the vibrance and joy they each pull from belonging to the Kingdom of God through the Gateway Church of Christ.

Wrapped Up In Perception

In the message today, Jeremy discusses biblical situations where perception made it difficult for people to stay on track. Perception is the origin of belief. Our own personal histories greatly influence those perceptions and when misguided principles influence perception we can become judges of others and their motives.

The Power of a Pattern

In the second sermon of a 3 part series, Jeremy wrestles with how series traditions can become and how those traditions can become doctrine. There is no doubt that each denomination has a history that shapes what they believe and how they act. While the Churches of Christ enjoy autonomy, we are no stranger to the power of traditions. Today we will look at more of the history of our movement, the dangers of pattern theology and try to get to the heart of what should define us as believers.

Rewarded Risk

It's Mother's Day, so what do we do? We lay it on thick for all the fathers out there! Ok, really it is a sermon asking questions and offering solutions in regards to the epidemic that has been growing for years regarding men and spirituality. Why does it seem that many men are not capable of enduring spiritual moments, or lead passionately and spiritually at the same time? Does spirituality appeal to females over males? Not according to this series it hasn't.

A very familiar face continues this week in the Undignified characters of the Bible. Former Gateway Minister, Eddie Levick (1980-1990) gives an inspirational message about the type of undignified life Jesus was all about living and how that challenges us to live the same way.

Graduate Sunday 2023

Each year the building at Gateway is transformed into a special Sunday that honors all of our high school graduates. In this message by our youth and family minister Seth Madaris, the point to be made is as important for families as well as graduating seniors.

Beyond Repair

Have you ever been in a place where you thought life was at it's worst? Perhaps it was because of something you did, or that someone else did. Imagine God telling you that He wanted you to tell a story to someone, and he thought the best way to tell it was to make YOU the object lesson and marry a prostitute! Ummmm... God? I might be able to think of a better way? "Nope" says God. "Go out and find one. Then I want you to name your children awful names on purpose, you know... to send Israel a message." That doesn't sound like God right? (AHEM... Abraham and Isaac) But even in the mess, God showcases His brilliance and the distance He is willing to go for even one person who thinks they might have gotten so far away that they think their relationship is beyond repair. That's when God does the completely unexpected. Journey with us and The Bible Project in today's lesson through the book of Hosea.

Beneath Yourself

In the opening sermon of the new Undignified series, Jeremy explains and challenges hearts through the comparison of two hearts. The hearts of King David and his wife Michal. But what leads her from a heart that originally loved David to a heart that despises him. Can the same thing happen to us? While David is willing to look foolish for the heart of God, Michal is caught up in status. Her father modeled that well for her.
