In today's lesson Jeremy revealed a few of the largest themes within the gospel of John. Love, Sacrifice and Power are themes repeated throughout the book but it begins with an important revelation about whom Jesus actually is. The incarnation not only sets the stage for the gospel of John but for our lives as well.
One of our favorite songs from childhood conveys a promise. Jesus loves me this I know, "because the bible tells me so". In this lesson on the heart we will deal with our often distant feeling from God with an alternate statement. I love Jesus this I know, because my heart tells me so. What does your heart confirm to you about your relationship with Jesus.
As we move forward in this series we establish the important truth that just like Jesus, we do things now for the present but for those in our future who will carry the message of Jesus forward. Decisions that we think affect us the most now actually have the greatest affect on what transpires from here. God bless those who will carry the gospel forward that we don't yet know.
