Presenting Performance

An issue has arisen within different congregations regarding the concept of performance in worship. Many ideas that are discussed and debated we believe are framed incorrectly. Some aspects of worship are labeled as performances while some that should be considered are not. This leads us to the heart of the issue. Is there a place for performance in worship? What motivates some to make that distinction that one thing is performance while another is not? Is judgement of the heart involved?

Overflow

If someone were to take a spiritual snapshot of your worship how do you think it would look? Jesus said that out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. If this is the case, then what does God demand from us in worship? What type of overflow feeds our worship? Could it be that we might perceive our worship differently than God perceives it?

Made For Worship

In this lesson from Jeremy Swindle and Jeremy Kughn we seek to understand just how much God is concerned with our offering of worship. The heart is a very big deal to Him, so it would do us good to explore it.

When the People of God Gather

Have you ever wondered whether its ok to (SHHHHHH) skip church on a Sunday? Maybe because you are tired, maybe because you are sick, or maybe just because you don't feel like going. All of that pondering hinges around what the purpose of gathering together is for! It's not legalistic and it's not biblically wrong to miss a Sunday occasionally. However, what if assembly is something much more powerful, for our benefit and something monumental that we are participating in? Join Seth Madaris as he talks to us about what is so holy about gathering.

Life As Worship

Worship happens 7 days a week contrary to popular belief. Many people believe that they "go to church" to worship God. Yes and No. God desires our entire life to give glory to Him. That is the essence of worship. Jesus' concern was that people honored him with their lips, but their hearts were far from him. How do we sync the two?

Awe, Majesty & Wonder

Expression in worship can often become types of barriers for different peoples attempt to worship God. Some are more expressive and some are not. What does the Bible teach us about the beauty of expressive worship, and what does God expect from His followers as diverse as they are to worship together?

He Is Risen

He Is Risen! In this Easter sermon, Jeremy begins a new series on worship by pointing out that worship of the Lord hangs on the three previously stated words. In this communion service, the church practices the celebration of the resurrection through engaging in an interactive communion.

God's Promises

Join us as we conclude the series of MINE talking about giving and God's Promises.

Live Like Crazy

Are you known for your generosity? Perhaps we should be. God created us to enjoy His creation and in relationships live as if everything was for everyone.

How Much Is Too Much?

It can often be a struggle with knowing how much to give. At least with tithing it was a clear 10 percent, but for those of us who want to know just how much would be appreciated by God we have to understand that giving has no exact amount. Rather, giving is a reflection of the heart.
