The Ultimate Design

This lesson deals with the state of marriage we find ourselves in. Is marriage some traditional thing that doesn't work anymore? Are the worlds solutions any better? How do we continue to be a church that outreaches but seeks to understand why God designed marriage in the way He did? Join us in this series for a look at God's Ultimate Design.

When Enough is Enough

For this special sermon, Jeremy interrupts his series on marriage to deal with grief. Gateway had experienced an abnormal amount of tragic deaths (4 in total) so we took a break to discuss the difficult questions and learn how to cope and grieve.

The Problem of Marriage

Marriage isn't what it used to be. What God intended for good, man has in fact separated. In this series we will be discussing the sanctity of marriage and God's design for it. Why do marriages fail? How do they succeed? What pitfalls can we avoid? Is marriage more about a covenant made before God, or a contract witnessed by man?

The Opposite Reaction

Wrapping up the Life Better Together series we wanted to ask a threatening question. Has the Church lost her ability to shock the world? Is the gospel still good news or has it settled for mediocrity? In this lesson you will be challenged to move out from behind the excuses that have kept so many from sharing the gospel.

What Are You Reading?

Why are there so many translations of the Bible? Should it be concerning to us? Join us in this rare abbreviation from our regular series to answer the questions about the difficulties of translating language between cultures and get as close as we can to understanding if what I'm reading is correct?

Ears to Hear

What type of friend are you. Fair weather perhaps? Do you only "just absolutely LOVE" the friends who have the most in common with you? Who tell you what you want to hear? Today, we will discuss the mark of a true friend. You may not want to hear this...

The Power of 2 or 3

How many times have you heard some Christian say, "Where two or three are gathered?" as a way to describe the presence of Jesus in their midst. I believe that Jesus didn't say that as a secret formula to have his presence felt and our prayers answered. Join us as we discuss the truth behind this passage and what it means in the power of relationships.

The Best of Friends

Who is your best friend? Chances are, just the mention of the words best friend conjure up great memories. Why is friendship important and how does the mission of God depend on friendships to be the light in the world?

A Large Problem

There is nothing wrong with large churches. Many of you have belonged to one at one point or another in your life. There is a problem with a culture that believes their mission is propelled in a healthy way by large church gatherings alone. The answer to that problem? Seek to become smaller (and we're not calling for splitting a church to do that!). The solution to the large problem is to belong to small groups within a larger church. Relationships unlock everything. They promote spiritual depth, joy, peace, comfort and evangelism.

You are not judged by another's actions. However, you are asked by God to influence the lives of others around you. In "You Are Your Brother's Keeper" Derek Hancock spells out the importance of community in small groups.
