Continuing on the theme of Jesus' focus he carries a burden beyond our imagination. In this lesson we will seek to understand how the conflict of being the Son of God and a man didn't lessen the impact of his sacrifice. In fact, his focus magnified it.
In the ultimate showcase of humility Jesus enters Jerusalem as the object of worship. His journey to the cross is undeterred by his level of focus to finish the task. Jesus continues to worship God by following through with His will rather than being swept up in the emotion of being worshiped by others.
How do you view Jesus? For some it is something out of a storybook, some view him almost rugged and some even view him as extremely fragile and weak. Luke gives us a glimpse of the nature of Jesus as he "sets his face" toward the place of his crucifixion. The word used to define this look is "resolute". Join us in this four week journey with Jesus to the cross and see if your own passion for Christ isn't enhanced in the journey.
