Today is a big day! We were happy to roll out the long-awaited Gateway University. Our special guest Dr. Randy Willingham came to Gateway today to join Jeremy in what proves to be a tremendous opportunity for people who are seeking to improve their lives through skillsets that allow them to bloom where they are planted. The program that Lipscomb University has begun pioneering is partnering with churches through a competency-based learning program that uses the local church to train and equip people for the sake of the kingdom. Seth Madaris takes the stage today to unveil what God thinks about spiritual formation. Gateway has always desired to be a small group type church that promotes friendship and unity amongst its growing membership. Without that, it is almost impossible to fit in. But there is much more. Perhaps the way we "think" we are actually growing is actually part of what keeps us stagnated into a false reality of growth, when it really isn't growth at all.
In today's sermon, Jeremy discusses what God actually says and expects regarding hard work. Many people fall victim to the "easy way out" but the narrow path that takes more effort to follow is the more rewarding path.
