Elated

Overwhelmed

The Christmas season is overwhelming for sure. Our lives are encumbered with parties, school plays, shopping, and shopping traffic! In this sermon, Jeremy discusses the type of Peace that Christ left for us, especially during times of feeling overwhelmed by the trials of life.

Intoxicated

Intoxicated usually means something we really would rather not talk about. But in this message, the idea of being intoxicated has to do with being filled with the Spirit of God while looking forward to the appearance of the long-awaited messiah. Jeremy challenges those of us who call ourselves Christians to do some healthy reflection regarding the type of spiritual life we are to lead.

Reflections

Reflections should be the memories we hold the most dear. The table is a moment when used effectively can transport us back to those incredible memories that deserve reflection.

Chaos

What also exists around the table of thankfulness? You guessed it... Chaos. Usually someone in the group is reminiscing about the times when they used to host 30 or 40 and feed them. Those feats should never be overlooked. But sometimes what arises in that Chaos is the opposite of what Thanksgiving should bring.

Fellowship

There is such a deepness to the term "Fellowship". While the term definitely includes hangouts, most times the context of hanging out together included participating in the spiritual things together, and this type of fellowship is precisely what led to so many radically impacted cultures as the church spread around the world.

Encouragement

Thanksgiving represents moments that many of us look forward to all year. It is a time to reflect and give thanks for our blessings around a table, and what a table it is. Dish after dish represents not only an amazing taste, but it even conjures up precious memories of thanksgivings past. It's a time where we look forward to encouraging those who helped to create the meals and dishes we enjoy. Today, Jeremy discusses the power and beauty of encouragement and challenges us to provide encouraging words that heal in life rather than discouraging words that tear down and destroy.

The Deep Dark Truth About Fear

PTSD is most likely an overused description of fear, but it is not something that should be ignored. It turns out, your brain is a powerful player in the role it has to protect you from fear. But when that fear begins to take over, it may be a sign that you need help beyond what the average person can give.

The Phobia Rut

Phobia's are not exactly fears. While related, a phobia is a type of fear that causes a person to live in an irrational way. If undetected they can control both you and others.

The Fear Factor

Jump scares are fantastic, especially when it's not you that's being scared! In this sermon on Fear, Jeremy discusses the brain's process of factoring fear in a way that benefits those who are afraid.
